Jame Louis Gates
November 14, 1929 to November 2, 2011

James was married to his wife Lillian until she departed this life on May 16, 2011---a marriage that lasted sixty years. The family believes he mourned the passing of his beloved wife and on the morning of November 2, 2011 he himself went to be with the Lord. James Gates is preceded in death by his parents Zeno and Cornelia Gates, a son James Louis Wilson, two sisters Mamie Lee Gates and Lillie Bailey.

James leaves to celebrate his memory his loving children Barbara, Jacqueline, and James Jr., nine grandchildren: Tanisha, Alana, Danielle, Jamika, Jasmine, Caleb, Dorian, James, and Jamal; seven great grandchildren: Taylin, Tyler, Michael, Keiarra, Tristyn, Mylah, and Britian. Loving sisters: Izola and Vera Jenkins, a host of nieces and nephews and many other devoted family members and friends.
