Peter Boyd
February 28, 1943 to October 22, 2011

Peter Bishop Boyd was born on February 28, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Annie Pearl and Raymond Boyd Sr. Peter attended public school in Alabama until he was older. As a young man Peter headed up north to Dayton, Ohio where he would begin working as a lumberjack. Ready for a new atmosphere he went on to Cleveland, Ohio where he would stay on with his sister Lucy and Alfred Williams. While in Cleveland Peter tried his hand at factory working.

It was while in Cleveland that Peter would reunite with his long time sweetheart Esse Wells. They married in 1998 and remained that way in love until the Lord called her home. October 22, 2011 at 4pm The Lord saw fit to call Peter Bishop Boyd into his loving arms. Peter was a simple man, a loving brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Peter was a great father figure to all of his family. He is preceded in death by four brothers Raymond, Howard, Willie and Eddie Boyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory Hollis Thomas Boyd (Joyce), Lucy Boyd Williams, Sadie C. Leeth, Annie Pearl Boyd II, Clara Boyd Flint, Clarence Boyd, Joseph Lee Boyd, Virginia Boyd, Vannie Boyd Kimble, Freddie Leon Boyd, and Yvonne Boyd.
