James H. Hood went home to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Akron General Hospital.
James was fun and fun-loving all of the time and never lacked a joke or two. He love to take care of his family. He retired from Firestone Rubber after 30 years of service, 10 years with the City of Akron and 5 years with Levey and Company. His absolute favorite hobby was watching TV, all of the black and white western shows, with the volume on blast. He was very loyal, never complained, and always had a smile on his face. James will always be in our memory but most of all remembered for ringing his BELL!
He was a member of Unity Holiness Ministries C.O.G.I.C under Pastor, Superintendent Dr. ACS Walker.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice M. Templeton Hood, father James A Hood, mother Mattie Harris-Hood.
He is survived by his daughter, Antoinette (Marvin) Randolph, his only sibling, Roberta Elizabeth Lee; grandchildren, Sonja, Darryl (Lacie) and Brandan; great-grandchildren, Sonay, Saniya, Brenden, Jr. Jaclyn, little Zoey and a host of nieces and nephews.
