Mrs. Lena Jones Nalls was born October 31, 1926, to Napoleon and Lula Jones of Columbus, Mississippi.  God called her home on August 13, 2018.  Mrs. Lena was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church until she moved to Akron, Ohio where she joined St. John CME Church.

She worked as a Baker for many years in Columbus, Mississippi. She was also employed at a local cleaner as a supervisor for many years after moving to Akron, Ohio.  When the cleaners closed, she worked for Coach Lenny Wilkens, as a Domestic Worker, until he moved away.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Jones; one grandson, Duone Payne and a sister, Armatha Gee.

She leaves to cherish her memory a god-daughter, Pearl (Alcurtis) Hairston of Columbus, Mississippi; a grandson, Daryl Payne and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and special cousins, Johnny and Geeter Lewis; special friends, Mrs. Mattie Walker, Mrs. Nettie Wright, Susan Eady, Geraldine (James) Walker, Curtis Petty and Anthony.
