She was incredibly helpful to all the staff there. Importantly, I remember Valeria talking about, Charisse and her plans for a vibrant future. My sympathy goes out to your family at this time. Although I did not know Valeria personally, it is obvious from the heartfelt comments that she was dearly loved. When we lose a loved one in death, the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times, we can go to God’s Word the Bible for comfort. May you find such comfort in the scriptural promises at John 5:21, 28, 29 and Psalm 37:29; promises made by a God that cannot lie. And may the love of family and friends support you in the days ahead.

My heart breaks for everyone that knew Valeria and especially for Charisse, her grandkids and her siblings. I worked with Valeria at Murtis Taylor, the Board, and for seven years after leaving the Board. She always worked tirelessly and was totally dedicated to helping persons with mental illnesses and substance abuse. She was a loving friend, great co-worker and boss and I miss her already more than I can say. What a communiity loss. May God grant her family and all who knew her comfort in knowing that she is with the God she loved so much.
