Beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, Howard James Brown went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 10, 2019.
Born February 2, 1942 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Sellers and Ruth Brown, he was 6th born out of 14 children.
Howard was a resident of Akron, OH for most of his life and attended South High School. He was a rubber worker at BF Goodrich and worked construction between Ohio and New Jersey. In retirement, he moved to and lived in Dallas, GA for 10 years. He served on the Usher Board at both New Trinity Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio and was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Hiram, Georgia
He enjoyed cooking, traveling, studying the bible, cars (especially Cadillacs) and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Karen Lynette Brown and Loretta Marlene Brown; his parents, Sellers Brown Sr. and Ruth Brown; his siblings, Sellers (Coy) Brown, Zellers Brown, Leonard Brown, Minnie Brown, Richard Brown and Robert Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta Brown; his children, Gregory (Tracey) Brown, Jeffrey (Niechia) Brown and Marye Brown; grandchildren, Andre Brown, Jerred Brown, Brandon Brown, Jasmine Brown, Unique Brown, and Joseph Brown; great grandchildren, Bryce Brown, Brooklyn Brown, Brielle Brown, Braxton Brown, Mckenzie Mosley and Marlee Mosley; siblings, Pastor Gus (Elaine) Brown, Elizabeth (Fred) Rollin, Vance Brown, Reverend Glen (Leslie) Brown, Ruth (Henry) Johnson, Wayne (Mary) Brown, and Harold (Connie) Brown. As well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
