Lizzie Eloise (Blanks) Feagins, departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 9, 2019. She was the fifth child of fifteen children born to the union of Willie Strong Blanks and Lizzie Terrell Blanks on December 13, 1918 in Notasulga, Alabama.
In Alabama, at the age of 9 years old, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She moved to Barberton, Ohio on July 4, 1947 and lived there for 71 years. She joined and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, where Reverend G. Ballard was the Pastor. Later, she joined The Livingstone Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Frank Gary. Because of her health, she had not attended church for some time, so in December, 2016, she expressed her desire to reunite with The Livingstone Baptist Church on Christian Experience.
Aunt Lizzie, as she was known by her family, loved to talk, quote scriptures, laugh, sing and, yes, …talk. She also loved to, what she called, have a lot of fun. She served for many years as a foster grandparent at the Decker Center in Barberton, OH
She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 5 sisters and was the last living member of her siblings.
She is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
