I worked with Lois at Standard Oil fifty years ago and loved her. She was the first black person I ever got to know and I found out that we were the same. I have so many stories I could tell about her and Ronnie. Like the time she came home with her slip on inside out and tried to convince her mother it had nothing to do with ronnie. I was sad to find out today that she was gone, but boy we had a good time on pay days. We'd go shopping and sometimes go out to eat and I'd have a drink but she would never have two. She was my first African-American friend and the first I realized that she was exactly going through the same things as me--except she married Ronnie--who was the love of her life.

For Ronnie Hamlin and family, Ronnie, Lois worked with me many years ago at MHPC in The Ohio Dental Program. I remember Lois as a very bright, classy woman. She was so efficient in everything she did and respected by all she worked with. She was taken too soon but I know memories of Lois will sustain you, her family and friends. I am more than sad at her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Ronnie, during this very difficult time.
