Olar “Ola” M. Long went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Olar was born on March 28, 1936, in Hershberg, Alabama and was the 3rd of 13 children born to the late Olar Lee and Jonnie Tolbert.

Ola was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Walter Long, Jr.  She enjoyed taking trips and traveling around the world with her sisters.  She was a lifelong member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and took pleasure in attending services. Ola was an excellent cook and will always be remembered for her exquisite dishes.  She also adored spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Long, Jr.; father, mother, brothers; Jonnie Tolbert, George Tolbert, Earnest Tolbert, and Major Tolbert; sister, Bertha Davis and grandson, Willie J. Smith.

Ola leaves to cherish her memories sons, Willie J. (Pam) Smith, Jr. and Walter Earl Long of Akron, OH; sisters, Frankie Mae Harris of Alabama, Rose Henderson of Cleveland, OH, Willie (Cleveland) Frazier of Detroit, MI, Barbara (Willie) Washington of Alabama and Macy Tolbert of Alabama; brothers; Shelly (Alice) Tolbert  of Cleveland, OH, Edward Tolbert of Georgia and Eddie Lee (Ann) Tolbert of Detroit, MI; granddaughter, Dionne Smith; grandson, Emmanuel (Nicole) Smith; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
