Carol Yvette Sanders passed away June 9, 2018.
Carol was born on December 11, 1957, in Akron, OH to John and Jessie McCormick. She was the second girl born of eight siblings.
Carol attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from East High School in 1975. She worked for almost 20 years with MRDD until her health began to decline from lung cancer. Carol was a kind and gracious person that would give you anything she had. As a little girl, her aunt could not have children and asked if she could adopt Carol, which is why she carried the last name Sanders.
Carol loved her two sons Jesse and J.C. dearly.
Carol was preceded in death by her biological father John McCormick, adopted parents Hattie and Thomas Sanders; brothers, Charles and Gerald McCormick; sister, Doris McCormick; sisters-in-law, Anita and Debora McCormick.
She leaves with lasting memories her mother, Jessie McCormick; sons, Jesse Sanders and J.C. Sanders; grandchildren, Dionte, Michael and Zoey; godson, Messiah Speight; brothers, John McCormick (Pat), Larry McCormick (Kim), Rufus McCormick (Anita); sister, Tonya Johnson (Wayne); sister-in-law Sadie Brown McCormick and a host of relatives and friends.
