Terri Renee Rasberry went home to be with the Lord Tuesday March 20, 2018.
Terri Renee Rasberry was born on September 23, 1961, in Akron, Ohio. She was the first of two children born to Marvin Rasberry and Beverly Brooks Rasberry. She attended Schumacher Elementary, Simon Perkins Junior High and one year at Buchtel High School before moving to Fairburn, Georgia where she graduated from M.D. Collins High School in 1980. Terri attended Atlanta Technical College and received a Master’s License in Cosmetology in 1984. She worked for the Georgia State Merit System as a Data Entry Clerk from 1985-1987 when she moved back to Akron, Ohio. Terri started working for Summit County’s Department of Jobs and Family Services as a Case Manager in 1990 and continued to work there until her retirement in 2009.
Although Terri never married or had children of her own, she had a hand in raising many children throughout her life and devoted many years caring for Vernon and Verlea Norman. Terri never met a stranger and her love for her family and friends was evident by the constant flow of family and friends stopping by to see her. She loved entertaining, dining out and most of all, shopping!
Terri was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church attending Sunday School as a little girl with her Aunt Sadie and Uncle Boo. She was a very spiritual person deeply rooted in her faith and she would often say “I serve a living God” which she demonstrated by always helping others. Terri was a loving, caring and sharing person. We will never forget her phone greeting which asked “Has anyone told you they love you today?” Well Terri, let us be the first to tell you that we love you and will never forget your endearing spirit and we will miss you always.
Terri leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Beverly Rasberry Stanford and Marvin Rasberry; stepfather Richard Stanford, sister Toni Wilson, brother in law Victor Wilson, nephews Justin and Jordan Wilson and a host of family and friends. We love you and we will miss you beyond words.
