Mother Annie Mae Williams was born April 22, 1923 in Lismore Louisiana, a long-time resident of Akron, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Annie Williams professed Jesus the Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was twelve years old. She was a member of Community Fellowship Chapel where she served in local missions, prayer ministry and as the missionary department leader. Mother Williams was an ordained missionary/evangelist through the United Holiness Church in the 60’s. She faithfully served the Lord holding revivals and evangelistic services in many states. Best known for her fiery preaching and praying, Mother Williams was often called to pray for the sick and shut-in. One of her favorite scriptures was Psalm 37. As a worshiper, Mother Williams would spontaneously break out in a song of praise such as ‘Running for Jesus a long time, I’m not tired yet…’ Her hobbies were gardening and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Thomas and Siviter Barber-Mickel; her husband, Charles Williams; her sons Wilbur, Eddie and Apostle Earl Thomas; daughters-in-law, Nina Gray and Geraldine McKinstry; two great- grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Abdullah (Liliani) Sabur, Timothy (LaShon) Williams; daughters, Sirviter Dixon, Caroline Williams and Cheryl Williams, Barbara Ann (Eddie) Skipper, Joann Toney; daughter-in-law; Theresa Thomas; grandchildren, Dante, Rafael, KaSonya, Marlo, Jevon, Andre, Tyrone, Timothy, Shai Ann, James, Westly, Tiara and Deborah; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; special friend, Pam Lampkin; special great-granddaughter, Destiny Shavers.
