I am so hurt... Desi was my ride and die. More of a sister than a friend. I did not have a sister and she told me Well you do now. I love you still. We will meet again My Sister.

To my long loss friend. God knew your road was becoming more than you could bare. For your care he gave you kindness. For your hurt he gave you family to hold you until the road was clear for you to enter into his arms where there would be no more pain. My dearest long lost friend until we meet again my heart will be empty without your voice and laughter. Remember still earth has no sorrow or pain that heaven can not heal. Love you Desi

I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know Desiree at the end of her journey. She was kind and humorous through her fear. I cherished my time and conversations with her. I'll remember those braids for a long time . I extend my love and appreciation to Nicole and Eric. Desi was scared to leave her children behind, but their visible strength through their mother's cancer journey gave her peace that I don't think she expected to feel. It was my honor to witness this.

Please accept my expression of sympathy during this time of sorrow. May you find comfort in the scriptural promise at Isaiah 25:8, a promise made by a God that cannot lie (Titus 1:2). Rely on God for comfort in the days ahead and may the love of family and friends carry you through your grief.
